They may have only just come to an end but two of my favourite comedies of the year so far, Friday Night Dinner and Bob’s Burgers, have both been re-commissioned and granted a second series. Both have been very strong, helped in no small part to the wealth of comedy talent involved and it’ll be interesting to see where they go with these two shows.
Meanwhile the scheduling for Series 2 of Stewart Lee’s Comedy Vehicle has also been announced and it would appear that BBC2 has tucked it away at 11.20pm, starting on May 4th. Given the positive reviews and reasonable ratings for the last series it seems like an unusual decision but early schedules can be subject to change so watch this space for more details on the show as and when they emerge.
